Wheelchair Fencing at NJFA

NJFA's Wheelchair Fencing Program (NJFA-WCF) provides instruction and competition opportunities to wheelchair bound athletes who seek to participate in the exciting sport of fencing. Fencers are trained to achieve their personal goals including, if they desire, participation in national and international competitive events such as the Paralympic Games.

NJFA Wheelchair athletes compete in Pittsburgh

Michael Harnett and Bianca Hollywood represented NJFA at the Pittsburgh NAC Dec 4 - 6. Coach Mickey Zeljkovic accompanied and coached them in their first national-level competition. NJFA will hold a wheelchair competition as part of our ROC to be held in May, and sponsor our wheelchair athletes for the 2010 Summer Nationals in Atlanta. The wheelchair classes meet on Fridays 6-8 pm. Our wheelchair program is one of the 16 offered in the U.S.

NJFA Welcomes Two Tiny New Members of its Family

NJFA was blessed with two tiny new members of its family on Sunday, July 25th, 2010. Kaitlyn Jeanette Freuler 4.44lbs and Brianna Grace Freuler 3.92lbs born at 8:18AM and 8:19AM. Please join Frank and Blanche Mustilli in welcoming their two new grandchildren into this world.

NJFA to Host Steve Sobel Div 2 ROC October 9th - 10th 2010

NJFA will host a Div 2 ROC on October 9th - October 10. To pre-register click here.

Open to fencers with C, D, E, or U rating, born 1997 or before. On-line registration closes Thursday, October 7, then walk-in fees apply. PAYMENT REQUIRED FOR COMPLETE REGISTRATION. All incomplete registrations pay late/walk-in fee at the door.

NJFA 2010 Pre-Season Warm Up Classes

NJFA is offering pre-season warm up classes, by its nationally and internationally acclaimed coaches. Classes will run from September 6^th through November 12^th 2010. Package will include 20 classes which are a minimum of 1.5 hours each. Also included will be free weapon tune ups. This package will cost $175. Call 973-763-5728 for more information.

NJFA Beginner Program Expansion

EFFECTIVE APRIL 19, 2010
In an effort to enhance our beginner fencing program, NJFA is expanding its beginner class schedule Monday through Saturday. New level 1 and level 2 (A&B) classes will be offered on Thursday and Friday, in addition to the current beginner class program schedule. Please check back frequently for more information on the beginner class program as well as coaching assignments.

2010-2011 Youth Cup Series (Y8-Y14)

Join in the best youth competition series on the East Coast. All tournaments are stand-alone and ratings can be awarded when youth criteria are met. There is no need to be in pursuit of Cup points to participate. The first youth event will be held at NJFA on October 3, 2010 will be a DOUBLE-POINT event. Pre-register now to take advantage of the double-points.
